Our course covers both Natural and LP gas piping regulations and meets the NH State requirements for the 60 hours of educational time needed to achieve the first level of gas licensing. This course, in conjunction with 1000 hours of field training, will allow candidates eligibility to obtain a GPI (Gas Piping Installer) License. Trainees will still need to fulfill the “field” training out on the job, but after completing this course they will be eligible to take the state exam immediately. This is not a hands-on training course.

Classification of Gases, Piping installation Plan, Properties of Gases, Preparing a Plan, Proper Bonding of Gas Piping, Fuel Gases, Methods for Sizing Gas Piping, Gas Flames, Sizing of Gas Piping Systems, Piping Underground, Gas Combustion, System Operating Pressure, Piping in Partitions, Gas Safety, Piping Materials & Selection of Proper Materials, Pressure Testing & Inspection, Gas System Pressures, Methods of Piping Assembly, Proper Purging of Piping Systems, Gas, Pressure Regulators, and Pipe Hangers & Supports.
*For the Gas Piping installer course, are included books with NFPA 54, NFPA 58 and a binder with the RSA laws and NH rules.

Continuing the gas licensing requirements, this course provides 40 hours of educational requirements for the second level of Gas licensing in the NH Gas License process. This course covers the installation regulations for Natural and LP equipment and students will be prepped for the NH Gas Equipment Installer exam. These hours, in conjunction with the Gas Piping Installers training and 1000 hours of field training, will allow candidates to be eligible to obtain a Gas Equipment Installers License. Ignition Modules, Customer Service, Hot Surface Ignition, Troubleshooting, Basic Electricity, Direct Spark Ignition, Thermostats, Basic Circuits, Integrated Control Boards, Service Techniques, Controls, Ignition Systems, Combustion & Gas Flames, Transformers, Standing Pilot, Combustion Analysis, Capacitors, Thermo-piles, Using Combustion Analyzers, and Relays.

How it works:
Choose the combo course you wish to take:
- Gas License Code Combo - Licensing portion of our Gas Programs
Then choose a starting date:
All Trainee's must start with the Gas Piping, then take the Equipment Installer, complete the set with the Service Technician. The student will complete one course and then complete the next, earning a separate certificate for each course. These courses will run consecutively, with little to no break in between courses.
Payment plan:
Gas License Code Combo - Total Tuition $3200, Down Payment: $600 Weekly Payment: $150 for 18 weeks out of 18 weeks.
Gas Service Technician
EXAM FEE: $100
Come to our location to take your Gas License Exam provided by the NH Gasfitting Continuing Education Online. The computerized exam costs $100, payment can be made the day of the exam, and testers can use their NFPA 54 code book. If you do not have a book, they can be purchased in the school’s office.
To enroll for a NH State Gas Exam at our location follow these steps:
1. Click on the NHgasfitter.com Logo below.
2. Click on “Gasfitting-exams” on the left hand side.
3. Fill out the form and choose what date you wish to take the exam.
(Please provide 1 to 2 days for the processing of your testing date)

Payments are able to be made at check in, over the phone, or mailed in.
Gas Licensing Questions
To obtain a trainee card from the state, an induvial must first be sponsored by a NH licensed gas fitter. An application will need to be filled out and submitted to the state for an identification card. Then the individual will need to start tracking field time and start classroom training.
NH Gas License Levels:
All trainees have to start with the Piping Installer license requirements. This includes 60 hours of classroom education and 1000 of field time. There is also a corresponding state exam that will need to be passed prior to obtaining a Piping Installer license.
Next would be the Equipment Installer license requirements. This includes an additional 40 hours, 100 hours total, of classroom education and a minimum of 1000 hours of field time. There is also a corresponding state exam that will need to be passed prior to obtaining an Equipment Installer license.
The final level is the Service Technician license requirements. This includes and additional 40 hours, 140 total, of classroom education and a minimum of 2000 field hours. There is also a corresponding state exam that will need to be passed prior to obtaining a Service Technician license.
Requirements:
60 Hours of Education
Minimum of 1,000 field hours of on-the-job experience (500 hours can be oil heating experience!)
100 Hours of Education (this includes the Gas Piping education)

The NH gas license expires in two years and on the last day of the birthday month of the license holder. The technician will need to have a total of six hours of continuing education, 2 three-hour code classes. The technician will need to log on to the State website to renew their license thought he online portal.
Our gas renewal courses are set up so the technician can receive all six hours in one day or choose to do only one of the three-hour courses.
