Who we are
Oak Ridge Electrical is a commercial electrical contractor based in Hooksett, NH. We’re owner-operated and small enough that you’ll actually learn the trade instead of holding a broom. Our shop is built around teaching the next generation of great electricians — every journeyman here is expected to explain the why behind the work, not just hand out tasks. It’s a hardworking crew with a good sense of humor, and we like it that way.
What you’ll do
Work alongside licensed electricians on commercial and institutional projects
Pull wire, bend and install conduit (EMT, rigid), mount devices, boxes, and gear
Assist with fire alarm, security cabling, and lighting retrofit installations
Learn to read prints and panel schedules, and understand how a job goes together start to finish
Keep tools, material, and the job site organized and safe
Log your apprentice hours toward NH licensure — we’ll help you track them
What we’re looking for
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an electrical program
Shows up on time, every day, ready to work
Willing to ask questions and take direction
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
Able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work on your feet all day
No experience required beyond schooling — we’ll teach you the rest

A note on requirements
Some of our upcoming work is at a secure facility. Employment is contingent on passing a background check and receiving site clearance, so applicants will need a clean record.

We may have more than 1 position. The first job is entry level. We basically need someone to be a "Buddy" on an 8 month project for the state. This position does not require any experience. But we could also use a 3rd or 4th year as well.
