We’re partnering with a nationally recognized employee-owned engineering consulting firm, to hire a Construction Inspector based out of Salem, NH. This role offers a blend of hands-on fieldwork and technical office responsibilities, giving you the opportunity to work on a variety of commercial, industrial, transportation, and infrastructure projects. Primary Responsibilities:
Perform construction materials testing and field inspections on active construction sites.
Conduct nuclear density testing of soils.
Perform concrete testing, including slump, air content, temperature, and strength testing.
Observe earthwork, foundation, utility, and drilling activities to verify compliance with project specifications.
Collect soil, concrete, asphalt, and aggregate samples for laboratory testing.
Document field observations and prepare daily reports.
Communicate project updates and testing results with project managers, contractors, and clients.
Assist geotechnical engineers with field investigations and special inspections.
Follow all company safety procedures while maintaining field testing equipment.
Qualifications:
Motivated early-career professionals looking to build a career in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or construction inspection.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on active construction sites.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on uneven terrain.
OSHA 10 certification preferred.
Nuclear Density Gauge (Troxler) certification preferred but not required.
ACI, NETTCP, or other construction materials testing certifications are a plus.
Pay Range:

$20.00–$23.00/hr.
