Service Technician / Small Engine Repair / Gas Fitter

Generator Pro is a growing, family owned and operated company for over a decade, headquarters in Nashua, NH offering great compensation and accrued personal time off. We have an IMMEDIATE OPENING to join our team for a full-time, (MA and/or NH) Gas Fitter/Apprentice, Service Technician/Small Engine for home standby and commercial generator installations and other gas maintenance and service in Southern New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts. Must be able to pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Service and Maintenance of Residential and light commercial standby generators
• Inspect and perform equipment repairs and replacements
• Perform routine preventative maintenance
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
• Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction
• Collect for work performed if applicable
• Keep assigned vehicle organized and clean
• Track vehicle maintenance and alert management when maintenance is necessary

Qualifications and Skills:

• Familiarity with gas code
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Experience or certification in residential generators and light commercial generators beneficial but not requirement (Kohler, Generac, Briggs & Stratton)
• Experience in Oil, natural gas and propane systems
• MA and/or NH Gas Fitter or Plumbing License/Apprentice
• Able to work independently
• Valid driver’s License
• Clean driving and criminal records as required by state laws for home service companies and by company insurance carrier(s)

Compensation:

• Pay: $22.00 – $35.00 per hour
• Compensation is based on experience and certifications

Schedule:

• Full-time
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• Generator Installation and Service – Kohler, Generac, Briggs & Stratton (Preferred)
• Mechanical or small engine repair (Preferred)

License/Certification (Minimum of one Preferred):

• NH Gas Fitters License/Apprentice (Preferred) or
• MA Gas Fitters License/Apprentice (Preferred)
