The City of Portsmouth has an opportunity for an individual to intern part-time for the Department of Public Works- Fleet Division. Hours are flexible and will be discussed during the interview. Pay rate is $19.00 an hour.
The Equipment Maintenance Intern will assist the Fleet General Foreman with vehicle and equipment maintenance. Candidates for this position will be required to work in the maintenance garage, in the yard, and in the field. Work includes the repair and maintenance of all Public Works Fleet vehicles which includes passenger vehicles, light and heavy-duty trucks, small engines, and if appropriate, heavy equipment.
