HVAC and Refrigeration Specialist – Boron Fiber Plant
Position: Refrigeration Systems Specialist | Training: Comprehensive on-the-job program | Schedule: Regular 8-hour shifts with on-call rotation
PERFECT FOR EXPERIENCED HVAC/R PROFESSIONALS WITH:
• Advanced refrigeration system certification
• Cascade refrigeration system experience
• Industrial HVAC equipment maintenance expertise
• Low-temperature refrigeration knowledge (-120°F systems)
• Experience with R-404A and R-508B refrigerants
• Troubleshooting skills for complex industrial systems
• Understanding of process cooling applications
COMPENSATION PACKAGE
• Starting Salary: $75,000-$85,000
• After Proficiency: $85,000-$95,000
• Additional: On-call differential, overtime opportunities

THE TECHNICAL WORK YOU’LL DO:
• System Maintenance: Apply your knowledge of cascade refrigeration systems to maintain critical process cooling for boron trichloride recovery
• Equipment Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair issues with industrial refrigeration units including compressors, evaporators, and condensers
• Low-Temperature Expertise: Maintain systems operating at extremely low temperatures (-105°F to -128°F) using specialized refrigerants
• Technical Monitoring: Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on roof-mounted refrigeration units
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all refrigeration systems operate within safety parameters in a chemical processing environment
FAMILIAR EQUIPMENT YOU’LL WORK WITH:
• Cascade refrigeration systems (R-404A/R-508B)
• Syltherm oil circulation systems
• Industrial compressors and heat exchangers
• Vapor expansion tanks
• Control systems and instrumentation
• Refrigerant dehydrators and purification systems
HOW YOUR HVAC/R KNOWLEDGE APPLIES:
• Cascade Systems: Understanding of multi-stage refrigeration for ultra-low temperature applications
• Refrigerant Management: Expertise with handling specialized refrigerants including proper recovery and recycling
• Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to maintain and repair industrial-scale refrigeration equipment
• Safety Protocols: Experience working with high-pressure systems and hazardous refrigerants
• Preventive Maintenance: Identifying issues before they cause system failure in critical process equipment

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
• High school diploma with specialized HVAC/R technical training
• EPA Universal certification
• 5+ years experience in industrial refrigeration systems
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass safety-related medical assessments
• Willingness to be on-call for emergency repairs
